IRATA LEVELS OF QUALIFICATION
There are three levels of qualification for rope access technicians as follows:
L-1 Rope Access Technician who is able to perform a limited range of rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA L-3 rope access technician.
NOTE: While in the process of being trained to level 1, a person should be considered to be a trainee.
L-2 Rope Access Technician who is capable of rigging working ropes, undertaking rescues and performing rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA L-3 safety supervisor.
L-3 Rope Access Technician who is capable of site supervision for rope access work projects; is able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of Levels 1, 2 and 3; is conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation; has a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques; holds a current first aid certificate and has knowledge of the IRATA certification scheme.
Atlas Access L-3 Trainers have a wide range of operational experience as L-3s throughout the Industrial & Commercial aspects of rope access. They will teach you an extensive range of new skills, methods & techniques, equipment and its uses, relevant legislation and codes of practice.
After 4 days of rigorous training, both practical and theoretical, you will gain skills to be assessed to your required IRATA Level 1-2-3 by internationally appointed Assessors, who are independent of the Training Company (Atlas Access).
All aspects of Training & Assessment are subject to the internationally proven quality management system endorsed by IRATA via regular audits of member companies, assessors and its operatives (L1-2-3).
All trainees will receive $100.00 credit against industrial rope access equipment which you can otherwise purchase in our Training Centre. Check our online store for range of available equipment.
A deposit of $400 will secure your place in a training session. This is non-refundable, but can be credited towards another session if you are unable to attend the course you had booked.
